Interstate 95
Miami, FL to Houlton, ME
I-95 is the primary East Coast freight corridor, running 1,920 miles from Miami north through Jacksonville, the Carolinas, Richmond, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Providence, and Boston to the Canadian border at Maine. It serves the most densely populated freight market in North America. While the terrain is not extreme, I-95 presents the highest sustained truck traffic volumes in the US, severe Northeastern winter storms, and the most congested urban driving environments -- particularly through the DC-Baltimore-Philadelphia-New York corridor, where delays routinely add hours to transit times.
