New Brunswick Highway 2 is the Trans-Canada spine through New Brunswick, running approximately 520 km from the Quebec border at Edmundston through Woodstock, Fredericton, and Moncton to Aulac at the Nova Scotia border. It carries all interprovincial freight between Quebec and the Maritimes. Moose collisions are a serious hazard, particularly on the Edmundston-to-Fredericton section where animals are active at dawn and dusk.
